These guys are not exactly well versed in terrorist security. They leave their group's rented car behind for police.pic.twitter.com/J0Ygt7Ibj2
The Molenbeek cell structure is starting to emerge. Lots of strong ties an pre existing social network connections.pic.twitter.com/uCVYSHJxV3
It seems the Molenbeek cell didn't have strong security skills - dump hire car - contaminate safe house w/mobile phone - don't encrypt phone
My suspicion is that the attackers had weak operational security, but it was sufficient given the lax counterterrorism efforts they faced.
The more evidence emerges the more it appears the counterterrorism failures have been in analysis rather than intelligence collection.
Further evidence of poor security: in January Abaaoud passed instructions over the phone http://www.nytimes.com/2015/11/20/world/europe/paris-attacks.html?ref=world …pic.twitter.com/OqrN24ZbFX
@hackerfantastic haha! Win
@thegrugq @BeffernieBlack they hid in plain sight
@thegrugq let's ban facebook. or SSL I guess
@lorenzoFB PRISM doesn’t work, I guess…
@thegrugq I bet it works if you ask FB for data. My hunch (based on nothing) is that in this case they just didn't
@thegrugq @electrospaces usability trumps security.

Understood. Yet ISIS has millions of supporters and growing daily.
If it's as easy as Facebook who needs encryption?
They achieved
@thegrugq @aldebaran14 ..all while they can easily stop / catch it all. It's deliberate.. FB, twitter, youtube deliberately allowing ISIS.
@nikhiljs FB, Instagram etc. are too busy deleting 'unacceptable' content such as photos of breastfeeding women to notice ISIS.
RT @thegrugq: The #Paris attackers used #Facebook not #crypto
& in an #ISIS dedicated group!http://nyti.ms/1j2fqB4 pic.twitter.com/0yCaqr54Jk
