Folks, conversations occur between people. If the other party turns over the conversation (or has phone confiscated without deleting messages) there is no encryption solution to this. Also that has nothing to do with Signal. Or encryption, really.

Absolutely. Just don’t expect it to prevent a malicious interlocutor from capturing your messages. I strongly recommend regularly doing a clean up. Cleanliness is next to OPSEC. ;)

Not on any platform I’m aware of. Which is good. But people are under the mistaken impression that it protects against a malicious recipient. Since it can’t, cryptographers dismisses it as a gimmick. The important thing is your device is clean, only thing you can control.
