That doesn’t make any sense. Person A or person B having 100k can do exactly the same with that gold.

No it’s not. It’s a redistribution of currency. There is a significant difference and what you’re saying on your blog is wrong.
-
Its a redistribution to the nether. The worth is gone. The value is gone. The gold value is gone. I'd prefer you not to say my blog is wrong if you disagree with the meaning of the word "gold".

Removing gold would be deflationary. If value diminishes because there is more of it in the system, then that is inflation.
-
Gold is removed from the system when you buy a vendor item for a pet or a mount that is BOA. The giant guild spider was a 1,000,000 removal of gold from economy. That's why it was a huge gold sink (as will be the bruntosaurus mount).

Lets say that now I have 100k on a toon 4 years ago. That would have bought me (off the top of my head) 3 WOW tokens that would give me 3 months of WOW service. Today 100k doesn't even give me a month of service. That's the basic idea of inflation in a marketplace.
-
The point is you still have the 100k, nothing is removed.
