It was a gift. What they do with it once I pass it off to them is none of my concern; maybe they need gold more than they need whatever it was.

When I was starting out, I had some gifts that VERY much would have meant more as raw gold but I didn't sell because I KNEW I could make it without. Somehow I'd make it so I could literally 'afford' to keep playing after my 'free' month with gold. That or write off WoW.

And... never give anything to a Guild member again, aside from a Flask to help them on the raid. Recent case, I gave the last batch of 1 million gold to my Guild. They then bought a month of sub for the same gold maker who tried to push me out of my markets by deception.
