It's not something I've ever done myself. But here it is, the tip. This works for selling rare, unique items, non transmog, items that you can't get elsewhere and are high value.

His plan, his tip, was to post these on a few realms at artificially inflated prices. How you get multiples of these super rare items I don't know, but it's his tip

Then you post your last item at "normal" price. How this tip works is you inflate the region data. I won't say "price" because it's perceived value, not price. This makes your normal item appear cheap, when it's not.
