"if you're depressed, talk to someone" is 1) victim blaming 2) insufficient Reach out to your friends. Ask how they are. Offer help.

I'm mass rting the suicide hotlines only because I was depressed+suicidal for a long time before I told anyone I told everyone I was "fine">

part of my problem is I don't believe friends/loved ones. I assume they say that to make me feel better. It legit didn't set in till therapy
