I got my hours stripped at Best Buy because I brought a chair over to sit in when there were no customers waiting because I had a sprained ankle. (I quit a couple weeks later.)https://twitter.com/ChampagneTex/status/1341814758085976065 …

i recall almost being written up (i barely talked my way out of it) because i brought my cane in one day when the alternative was to call out cus i *literally couldn’t get around without it.* they tried to write me on “use of an unapproved device” (which they already knew i used)

when i worked at the video store, we had a "pit" where all the tils were set up and our CS people had to ring up. usually dedicated people in there cause we'd need them there and then had some stocking/shelving and the only time i got to sit down was prepping movies>

> there were 0 chairs in all of the establishment save for one for the break room, and the managers would use it to sit at the pit to do their paperwork and shit and i was so mad. i hated standing for almost 10 hours a day cause my shifts always went over.

and the cherry on the cake? minimum wage in GA was 5.35 at the time. I would seriously do 60 - 80 hour checks and get, maybe $200 after taxes. and the shit i had to put up with? being yelled at for .25 late fees??? NOPE
