And then there was Storm Peak which made us want to grind our teeth on a chalkboard. Seriously, by the end of that expansion I hated Hodir more than I did that god awful Korean grindfest known as Lineage. I also hated how slow the zone's flying service mount was. Uuuuuuuuugh. ;)

I enjoyed questing in Storm Peaks much more when I got my own flying capability. The flight network goes round in too many circles in that zone.

The story was epic in nature through most of it. The different areas introduced but still having a storyline that went through them all. Being able to start from either end of the zones instead of just being funneled through one area for everyone.

Is Sunwell Plateu the first raid to essentially be gated pre LFR.... If I'm not mistaken weren't certain bosses based on how far the island had evolved?
-
Dailies also opened up slowly on the island. However other raids had gates, just not in the same way.

absofreakinlutely. And while I have liked some of the other expansions (loved MoP), none have compared to the completeness of WoLK in storytelling or quest lines.
-
WOTLK, MoP and Legion are my top three in terms of story. WOTLK, MoP and BFA in terms of gameplay (Legion is let down by its approach to professions).
