Story time: A mom and son were shopping for a water bottle. He said, "I made my decision. I want the pink one." She spent minutes trying to convince him that he wanted a different one, showing him the red one from the same maker, etc. He stood his ground. (cont'd)

After he stood his ground, "I made my decision. I like this one," she changed tactics. She inspected the bottle & appeared to peel back the label, "This one isn't BPA free. How about this one..." 10 minutes this went on. She started becoming agitated. (cont'd)

Each time the boy spoke, she became more agitated. She started accusing him of talking back, threatening him with going home and straight to bed. The boy was forced to apologize at some point, and relented. I'm not sure what color he begrudgingly accepted. (cont'd)

Here's the rub: I also checked the bottle. "BPA free. Sans BPA." Did she miss it? Did she ignore it? She made a point of checking, so... Gender bias is wierd. Humans are wierd. I'm just here... - :ppic.twitter.com/WwoF0cr3K3
