Okay, first you are undercutting yourself by lowering your prices. Unless you are in an absolutely need to have gold right then and there (can't afford repairs etc) then everytime you lower your prices, the market will lower. 1/

An item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for. But the reverse is that an item is only worth what you are willing to sell it for. Rare means few have it. That means maybe 10,000 people might not want it, but you just want that 1 person to want it.

^ important bit. Only need 1 buyer. Doesn't matter if several million don't want to buy it

3/ Undermine journal gives suggestions. They are not gospel. HOw much will make you happy, that is your gospel on how much to sell it for. Look at undercutting and say 'I can take advantage of that' because they are undervaluing their items. Especially on rare items.

That's where your 'play money' comes into play. Have your base money that you never want to go under, then the rest is your gambling money. You have x mog of awesome for 10k (TUJ suggested value). Someone undercuts you selling for 2k You can lower your value to undercut them

Or you can say "I will buy that 2k item, then be patient and sell my transmog for 10k plus sell the 2nd one for 10k. It's controlling the market to your advantage. The more play money you have, the more power you have to take chances.
