What defines casual can vary from person to person. Some might consider Warcraft to be that, since you can drop in, queue for content, and log back out once it's done.

I'd say that it depends on how you approach it. The Warcraft example I gave is a good starting point. If you play for a little while a day and don't really mind if you miss a day... That's casual. If you put lots of time into it and have a need to play regularly... Not casual.

But that's more for MMOs or similar "daily" games like MOBAs. A single-player game like Skyrim or Mass Effect, the determining factor would be more how deeply you get into the game. Do you need that 100% completion? Will you replay the whole game to see the other choices?
