What practical IRL skills have *you* learned 1 in Warcraft and 2 by playing games in general ???

The entirety of my social skills come from WoW. I approach socializing, and people, a lot differently now. And in a good way. From gaming in general, strategic thinking. Not from strategy games, really all games I've played. I think very differently about how to achieve goals.

Could you explain how you "think differently about goals" please?

Oh. Oh right! Sorry! So essentially there are 3 things, basically: 1) I actually contemplate on my goal, look at it every day, keep it in mind. 2) I look at what are the obstacles and how I can overcome them. And 3) Whenever I see something I don't particularly know, I study it.

This comes from games like WoW with raiding and trying to get better at it, and gold making. But also from games like Witcher, which is just a hard game that poses a challenge, Call of Duty too, and games like Warframe which has a really complex gear system.

This is also knowledge I've gotten from books, and some video courses. I had a period in my life where I was consuming a lot of self-improvement resources. But with games, I actually get an environment where I actually get to experience those directly.
