Very slightly miffed at neighbours driving over lawn to park on pavement (sidewalk?) in front of my door. Should I suck it up, or plant shrubs on border? (Talking to them is too frightening an option)

Have you tried a polite note on the windscreen asking them not too. It worked with my neighbour, it doesn’t always work but it’s worth a try before doing anything else

You can do it! Look how much you write online! A note is nothin'!

I think they'd prefer if I spoke to them.

Then do so. "Hey, could you not park there? I'd really appreciate it."

It's hard to explain that is the social aspect of communication that is a disability for me

They might prefer it, but you can drop the note off anyway. Surely there's some time that doesn't overlap schedule wise.

I understand. I've dropped off MANY a note and rushed off I find it easier to drop it in mailboxes when I know they won't be around to get it immediately. I was hoping there was a moment like that which would help a little *hugs*
