It'd definitely be complain territory for me, but I'm in America, and our streets are wider. Idk.

Acceptable but anxiety inducing: Complain. Passive aggressive but justified: Boulders and border plants. Excessive but tempting: Land Mines.

Is there anything you can put there at the edge of the brick and the grass? Here in the US we have these reflector posts (pictured below) that people use to mark the start of their lawn for driveways or at the edge of the road so no one drives in the grass.pic.twitter.com/3TkR2tQbvg

I just think if you could find something like those reflectors and put up then maybe they would get the idea without you even needing to say anything... otherwise, yes, I think I would mention it. Even casually by maybe just saying "I'm hoping to grow some nice grass there."

Honestly it looks like the grass has been mostly killed. Remove what is left and lay down some rocks and place some large rocks to keep them from driving on the smaller rocks or using it as a parking space. And you won’t have to worry about caring for the grass anymore.

Would they complain if the situation was reversed? My guess is yes. Get yourself some rocks down the edges and put pebbles on the rest.

From a brit POV: it's perfectly acceptable to complain and I know people who would complain over much less (doesn't mean we all should, but I use that as a personal guideline for whether I'm going OTT or being reasonable). They've literally killed your grass.

And you've gone WAY beyond being nice back to them by offering them the use of your own garage so if they do bring up anything they've done for you etc. you can point out that there's a perfectly good garage that YOU already offered for FREE. They're being lazy.

They shouldn't be driving on your lawn.
