I'm guessing you're trying to say that men also get their accounts boosted. Which is correct; many more men play competitive video games than women. At the top ranks of the ladder, in LoL, I can't think of a single female who got into challenger/masters without a boost.

Not sure I am familiar with every example to be fair. But this stat is very tough to find as Riot doesn't keep public records as far as I'm aware.

So if you don't have numbers, why are you making the argument? The only fact here is that buying account boosts is not unique to women, and therefore is not a valid argument for questioning how a woman got into high ranks.

I've been researching this for my postgrad. I have numbers. It's men. Men buy boosts. Men buy gold. Men want to get ahead to show off.

You're right. The majority of women don't want to "get ahead". Which is why they don't play competitive games as much or tryhard in those games. You missed my point. I said that the VERY few women who HAVE made it to high ranks were probably boosted.

What do you mean by this? The # of men boosting to women boosting is probably 1000-1. But the number of men legitimately in high ranks to women is 10,000+ - 1. Name me an game where more women than men are legitimately at high ranks. Just one.

It means that the data shows that women are up there legitimately, while men are being boosted.

I dunno what more to tell you, you could message the doctors and postdocs who did the research, ask them to lie a bit to suit your sexism but I think they prob have better things to do.

Hold on hold on. If men are "boosted"... who is boosting them? Women? You keeps talking about research yet you haven't provided me anything. What research says that the top esports male players use boosts? Are the players on Astralis boosted? Cloud9 LoL? NYXL?

You're right, this rabbit hole could be even deeper than we think!
