@Mementh oh - I know. I have worked for some of those companies. But, when looking for a job/career - I keep those things in the "requirements" list vs. the "perks" list.
If a company doesn't have them - I wouldn't entertain working for them because enjoying your job is key

Yea I walked into one interview with a crutch and I saw straight away that I wouldn’t be getting the job by the look on the interviewers face. What annoyed me is that I knew I’d just been picked for the interview because I’m disabled and it ticks off one of their little boxes

That’s terrible.. everyone can contribute, everyone has skill. Just need an opportunity, and to understand they have the power to make it happen!

Depression is not always disabling, but if it is, then the applicant deserves support.

in the US, depression is a protected "disability" by the ADA, so they aren't permitted to discriminate against you for having the condition, but should be aware to ensure you can perform the essential functions of the job - with some accommodations. Many people function fine :)
