The companies don't care about support, they care about weeding out applicants by having you self incriminate. Even though it is totally against the law, AI algorithms do all the hiring & I guarantee you mark you have a disability, you don;t get the job.

in the US, depression is a protected "disability" by the ADA, so they aren't permitted to discriminate against you for having the condition, but should be aware to ensure you can perform the essential functions of the job - with some accommodations. Many people function fine :)
