If you look at the problem as being a 'wall of listings' issue this is a solution. So is pounding a nail into a board with a sledgehammer.

They just need to find a way to limit how many stacks of 1 someone can have on the AH

No need to limit, the default stack size is max, so if a new player wants to post smaller, the mental go to is 1. Something as simple as this would fix that.pic.twitter.com/p5mKMuYd9o

It's an exchange. There's a buyers bin and a sellers bin. Individual sellers are grouped together under one price point. You can undercut if you want to sell first, or match prices. You can put in fulfillable buy orders that will be filled over time, or buy immediately at higher.pic.twitter.com/s8bcytHjRY

I really, really hate commodity exchange style auctionhouses. They take away all the complexity of what stacksizes you offer and you generally end up with a situation where the buyorder and the sell order for any given items are only like 1 copper apart from each other.

This was the sole reason I quit both GW2 and Wildstar. That being said, WoW really could use more filters like GW2. But please, please do not implement a commodity exchange style AH. It would completely ruin WoW for me.

It COULD be interesting in some places -- putitng in a buy order for, say, Cobra scales, but that doesn't need to be part of the AH perse

For high end items I could see that being a good device. Give it a split AH One is your normal AH we have now (modified with some of the stack changes) The other being a want AH where you post up what you want and how much you're willing to pay for it.

Cue "rare dealers" and "trade merchants" subtypes
