I have no problem with old (and currently unobtainable) stuff coming back at a later date. It doesn't diminish my "reward" to have it available for others; in fact, I'd prefer it if more people were able to get cool stuff.

The game is already going towards a 'if you complain enough, we will let you have your way' More and more people want to do less and less for the shiny items. Warcraft used to be about epic quests and difficult items not 'hey, It's hard to grind out AP for my legendary shoes

Well, on the flip side, leveling a profession from 1-900 was a non-starter. Telling a new player to farm goldthorn is silly.

There are items I'd love to have for myself. But I also know that I can be impressed that someone else got them because they took the time. There are plenty of things that I can get now if I put in the time (finally got my Artifact Fishing pole yesterday).

I guess that’s where I differ. I’m not impressed that someone did a rep grind or happened to have good RNG on a holiday weekend, if it’s something that I could do but can’t due to artificial scarcity.
