I've looked so far at herbalism, cooking, fishing, and alchemy, none of those, so far!

I've heard good things about inscription, but those contracts will only be useful for a few months, until rep is maxed. Cooking and Flasks will have longevity. but there's nothing BIG there. JC perhaps, or engineering, i need to look at those.

If they add more to inscription with each 'big patch' update it can still stay relevant. New alts always mean a need for specific glyphs, along with the contracts reputation players will want etc. When they open any new allied race and open up an opportunity for a contract = $

So.. here's my key question. Which of the professions REQUIRE rep to proceed with in BfA, or require dungeon gated patterns, etc? In other words, which, if any, can non-leveling alts work on?

From what I"m seeing you can get level 1 crafts without any rep. It will be the lvl 2 and 3s that will be rep hidden. Plus I believe most of the professions have specific crafts that are rep gated. Just leveling pretty much gets you honored with the major reps.
