    I always capitalize Black. My editors can change it if they must, but it never leaves me with a lowercase B. We are an uppercase people.

    If this breaks your heart like it does mine I suggest contacting your local school and ask how you can anonymously donate a few $ to help pay off high lunch balances for students. Or if you can afford it, pay off an entire lunch bill for a student. It takes a village...

    I’ve looked into this issue myself and the music should NOT stop in D.C.! and are proud to be part of the Shaw community - the music will go on and our dealer will work with the neighbors to compromise volume.

    A Metro PCS vendor in Shaw has become ground zero in what some call ’s latest culture war. Days of protests & a town hall aim to address issues at its root: gentrification and a growing sense that DC culture is being eroded, bit by bit.

    WON!! Note to gentrifiers: if you don’t like the existing culture of the neighborhood to which you’re moving, MOVE SOME PLACE ELSE. It is the HEIGHT of privilege and entitlement to think decades of culture need to change because you have arrived. Just go.

    This angers me. Go-Go is the soundtrack to DC life...our DC at least... loves to be selective about what culture gets reified and which gets tossed.

    Spotting unhappy folk is easy. They’ll show up with a cup of bitter to every situation. But 2019 I said for my own mental health I don’t have to show up to every argument especially when the person is intent on not listening. Be blessed argue with yourself.
