You need to know the subject somewhat in order to teach. Hold a class with Peter Andrews, Bill Gammage, Ian Chubb, Victor Steffensen, Greg Mullens & Co

“Mr Joyce ran for the leadership on an anti-environmental platform. Backed by Matt Canavan, he vowed to do more to promote coal, enable widespread land clearing & to wind back the Murray-Darling Basin plan so less water was dedicated to the health of the river system”

There's a bushfire warning for the Snowy Monaro region tonight. There's a day of Parliament tomorrow to "honour and thank" bushfire victims. And the Nationals have decided on a leadership spill. It's their bubble.

Jim Molan tells us on that, as an LNP politician, he is constantly barraged with denialist nonsense that comes across his desk every day and is, as a consequence, confused. Why doesn't he take some time out to talk to real climate scientists? There are plenty at ANU.

Michael Mann, the "hockey stick" guy the Deniers love to hate says: "some of the best climate scientists in the world are in Australia." They're personable, speak English, and are happy to educate any journalist, opinion maker, or politician, using very simple words....

Garnaut Report in 2008 - “Fire seasons will start earlier, end later and be more intense. This effect increases over time but should be directly observable by 2020.”

If safe to do so, people can download the iNaturalist app (link below), take a walk through burnt bushland and take a photo of a plant, animal or fungus and upload it. 🌱🍄🌿

My column this morning: why we need an RBA for carbon pricing. It’s time to get politics out of the science, as it was taken out of monetary policy.
