    Poor people are always hit hardest by any economic policy or protest. Maybe we can tell people who are boycotting movies & TV made in Georgia that they should donate that money to Black Lives Matter, or Black Votes Matter, or the Poor People's Campaign.

    I agree with you about access to healthcare and about the ramifications of an economic boycott. But the various provisions in this law could cause harm to women of child-bearing age coming in to the state to work, too. That raises a different issue unless it is not in force.

    When the issue is access to healthcare, I’m not seeing how boycotting the state with the intention of crippling Georgia’s economy will help women - especially poor black women - struggling to afford access to healthcare in the first place. I refuse to abandon these women.

    This is how responded to threats to boycott Georgia after the elections in November, I’d argue that her response would likely be the same now as people call for boycotts in response to the .

    With several entertainers posting on social media that they plan to boycott Georgia after won the gubernatorial race, his former rival implored them not to do so.

    I’m starting to see “Boycott Georgia” tweets mostly from white people who live in Los Angeles so I’d like to remind folks that punishing the people of Georgia for a law that has already imperiled them might not be the best way to go.

    I keep thinking about the elderly black people who passed out from exhaustion while waiting in line to vote for Stacey Abrams last year and how, even when they were offered help, decided to keep standing in line anyway.
