Fear mongering isn't helpful. The city is grappling with an unprecedented economic decline that has thrown countless people out of work and housing. What you see on the streets is that crisis. Let's stick to facts. Crime is down 23.6% this year. https://www.sanfranciscopolice.org/stay-safe/crime-data/crime-dashboard …https://twitter.com/Jason/status/1316784539381886976 …
@chesaboudin It seems like pre-lockdown, crime was up ~8%. Big decreases since then (which is great), but how much is due to the city being shut down?
Fewer tourists to rob, no drunk assaults at bars, no commuters getting their car/bike stolen, etc.
