6-19-86 was a month after Cher’s “asshole” remark, where the censors said “ass” and “hole,” separately, were ok, but not together, so one had to go. So “ass” aired, but “hole” was out. Maybe by 6-19, the censors were a little jumpy, & out went “ass.”
I remember Larry Bud Melman saying that during a segment on some town in Pennsylvania. Wonder if you remember that and if it's in any collection video?
