Just searched through all of the Wahoo Gazettes for “Mao” and “jumpsuit.” No jumpsuit for Alan, and that 10-17-03 segment was the only one noted with him.

It must have been my imagination. I say “jumpsuit” but in my recollection he was dressed as a communist party worker. Perhaps I dreamt a sketch I wanted to submit. I swear I remember it!

Sue Hum posted on her Facebook page a backstage photo of Alan dressed as Mrs. Doubtfire with Jerry Foley and
@CarterBays. I can’t find an airdate yet for what would have occurred on-air.1 reply 0 retweets 4 likes -

Hi! First of all, according to my records the bit Matt is describing aired 7-7-00. And I have no idea what that Mrs. Doubtfire thing was! Might have been one that never made it on the air. Maybe

Holy crap -- and there it is. It wasn't in LS's database nor in
@ddydotcom's extensive show log. Nor in Mike's Wahoo. They included _something_ but not this specific. We must talk. :)pic.twitter.com/EAccbwNhUV

Wow! You all are amazing! Let me tell you (almost misty-eyed) I was 14 when I saw this and it honestly broadened my entire comedy horizon. Simply amazing and I love you all.

Matt, I can't express to you how much that means to me. It was such a stupid bit but the fact that someone else appreciated and remembered our stupidity makes me really happy. Thank you. Now you're making me misty-eyed!

Same! “Don’t mind me, Dave, I’m drunk.” I believe was the payoff.

To give some context, so many of the things we wrote for Alan were just us trying to find the limits of what he was capable of, because he was such a showbiz pro. It was like, "Do you think Alan could deliver an entire monologue in Cantonese?" "I don't know, let's find out!"

I’m gonna steal that in the retrospective description. :)
