Trying to figure out what to do when my savings dries up in a couple months. One idea: Sell the complete Late Night catalogue on Read-Only portable drives for a couple thousand bucks each. The downside: jail.

I know the downside to this is also jail, but turning on YouTube monetization would get ya something (at least $317 a week according to socialblade)

Eh, not sure about that. I've done it for a year+ and been fine, similar content from VHS tapes and so on.

Not monetizing is helping to keep my channel alive.

Not to mention you’re akin to a museum. You’re not making money off Dave’s hard work, you’re merely preserving it and that’s infinitely more admirable. Perhaps a pinned video on your channel mentioning your goals and mission for the channel and asking for a donation would be good

I agree it's like a media museum. Patreon is fine but it requires a monthly donation when a one time donation, here and there, would be nice option for some as well. Just a thought. Whatever you decide, long live the donz.

Yes that’s what I’m saying. A pinned video asking to donate to the cause, but keeping the uploads as they are without any “ads”. Don is doing a service that clearly and logistically can’t be done by anyone else. So many other shows require this dedication

I’ve no control of ads. Other content owners claiming copyright will trigger the ads.
