He did a *great* appearance with Tom Snyder in 1990 (the night after his Leno gh shot) where he claimed he was "banned for life" at one point after a joke at Johnny's expense that didn't go well.
I don't have the Snyder (radio? CNBC?) but I probably have his 1990 Leno appearance. Will look later, maybe tomorrow night (will be out all day tomorrow). I'm spent after today's craziness.

CNBC, but I had the year wrong - it was October 4, 1994. He referred to his funny interaction with Jane Leeves on Leno the night before.
