Dave and Brokaw seemed to legitimately enjoy their time together. We were a Peter Jennings household when I was growing up, but I always respected the hell out of Brokaw and Rather.

I think it was Tom who enticed Dave to purchase a home in Montana. The prize here, to me, was Hal Gurnee's quick thinking, putting up Connie Chung's feed.

I would think that it did air. Hal was punching up live feeds at the time, but there’s not enough here to pinpoint a date.
