Working on a compilation that involves some stills. Discovered that manipulating transitions w/i the stills messes up the video edits (iMovie). So I’m trying the Sgt. Pepper method: create a mix w/o the stills, then add stills to the new mix.

Sorry I don't know iMovie enough to know what the issue / gotcha is.
It’s like a 4-track recorder; there’s only so much you can do. But if you prepare a mix, you can then “transfer” it to a new file and add to it there. Primitive but workable. I prefer it to FCP, whose rendering delays drive me up the wall.
