Spectrum here as well. All I have from them is the modem. I've been using a separate stand-alone router, Netgear. I remember getting into its settings but no longer remember how.

By default, your NETGEAR router's IP address is either 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 - put both of those ip addresses into your browser and then see if there’s a login screen. If neither of those IP’s pulls up a home page for your router then you’ll need to do hard reset.
