You can call your provider and have them reset the modem from there end, (which is different from just unplugging/ replugging it on your end) which may resolve also.
The modem's not the problem. Otherwise I would not be able to go online at all.

Yea, but doing that would free up and reset the up address and would resolve whatever conflict the IP addresses are having. Just a suggestion from an IT professional.
