Truly saddened by this news. Back in the day I covered the career of Jamie Tarses, a bright, talented young woman who jumped early-too early-into the snakepit of TV biz+was chewed up mercilessly. My mom babysat for her dad back in Baltimore. True story. In c. ‘67-68, Jay and Tom played me a reel-to-reel tape of their stand-up act when they were performing at the Cellar Door in DC.
