Lately, I’ve been getting more and more YT comments that refer to DL only as “the interviewer.” Related, I suspect, to a new tenant upstairs who was born in 2001. Fourteen when Late Show ended. I feel old.

I can see where the new tenant is coming from. From 2001 through 2015, Letterman was basically just some boring guy sitting behind a desk. If they'd made the set all black, he might have been confused with Charlie Rose.
