DL brings out best (or surreal) in all, even the god-awful. He's got to consider his legacy in some way. You're ideally placed to both convey what his shows have meant to us, and to get the tales like the James Lipton of Late Night. Would love to know DL's Top Ten experiences.
I appreciate that, but I’m wholly unqualified. There’s a trust factor here, and that comes about only after a years-long acquaintance. That hasn’t happened and will most likely never happen, and I think it’d be naive to wish it otherwise.

Don't sell yourself short. I think DL is likely still great at talking to "the man in the street" and might be curious about why we're enamored by his "dumb show" and what we find most interesting over its run. And questions, we've got questions... 1/2
