I hope this comes across as intended and not seen as some sort of self-pitiful cry-baby rant — that Faces project — I thought/hoped it might have gotten more traction than it did, but it, like most of my other DL uploads, was just another flash in the pan.
Which suggests to me that we’re a niche group, fans of a bygone era that just doesn’t have the sort of widespread appeal I thought it still might. Sure, there are tiny corners out there discovering a past never experienced, and that’s wonderful,
But for the rest of the human race, it just doesn’t have that appeal, either anymore or ever. Just taking stock of some realities is all.
Yes we are a niche group and maybe your channel will never rocket into the Youtube stratosphere. However, I think your production of curated clips over time (based on a theme/current events) has been very effective. Here's to your "silver button" and beyond!
This morning UMG blocked my Pete Best on LN. It misidentified the generic “intermission” cartoon theme with the 1978 disco hit “Thank God It’s Friday.” Which can be heard on others’ unblocked uploads. I challenged it. insanity.
