Thanks! Just one other item: my channel used to get total view counts updated around every hour. For the last 3 weeks it‘s been updating once every 24 hours. Is that a new YT standard, or, if not, is it possible to return to the once-an-hour routine?

The system regularly updates the data, making sure it's coming from real humans and not bots, so you might see the view count slow down or freeze during this process. More about it here: https://yt.be/help/Jgao . Hope that helps clarify!

Thanks for the reply; yes, I was told this when it first froze 3 weeks ago. Does it take that long to, excuse the metaphor, clear its throat? It seems this process is taking quite a long time.

Also, I should point out that the Influencer site posts counts before YT’s daily update. Which suggests the numbers are out there but not yet reflected in my account & that this might have nothing to do with cleansing the channel but is instead a glitch.

Here are screen captures just made. Left: my YT channel, last updated at 12:40 am. Right: the noxinfluencer page, which has a more current view count At 2:42 PM. So I suggest it’s not the process of cleaning out the bots but instead something fixable.pic.twitter.com/F46m2cT4Hl

Looks like you're comparing using a third-party tool, so we can't guarantee that those numbers are 100% accurate. Also, note that YouTube Analytics is usually delayed by ~48 hours, that's why the numbers are different from the channel & video page. Hope this helps clarify.

Thanks for looking into this. Again, appreciated. I suppose I could then ask how a third party is getting access to the count. True, it may be inaccurate, but I‘ve found it pretty much matched YT’s once more-frequent updates.
