You are my people. To be fair I have to swap Monty python for Carlin if I’m being honest but I he was a groundbreaker and a pro
Yeah there isn’t anyway to do justice to four slots. Carlin blew my mind with Class Clown. Eddie Murphy, Prior, Python, Cosby, Newhart, Robin Williams....
I got into talk early on. As a kid, my parents would turn on Carson in my room for me to fall asleep to. And I watched Letterman when he had a morning show before Late Night. And guests like Newhart, Rickles, and Cavett were incredible.
Letterman’s morning show was great. Too bad his late night show was so damn boring after he went to CBS
My college experience was fully embracing of Late Night. Every night. We were sad when it was a rerun. But stuff like the velcro suit, the roller coaster cam, Bud Melman, etc... brilliant.
You can still catch old episodes on YouTube. @davelhudson is a huge fan.
Not a lot of full ones, but @thedonz5 has lots and lots of compilations on YouTube and he personally has all the full shows (lucky bastard). Check his videos:

Thanks for the plug! Here's an outdated list of the compilations uploads: https://donzblog.home.blog/2020/01/28/my-youtube-collection-videos/ …
