This is cool. That day I met Sammy Davis, Jr.. During the rehearsals, I often played Dave introducing the musical guests so Hal Gurnee could figure out his shots. We had a technical problem so I got to talk to Sammy at the desk for 15 minutes. He was so cute with the Girl Scouts!

Like yesterday. Was a hero & I was just happy to say hello. Able to thank him for all the times my Dad brought me to see him perform solo & the shows with Sinatra. Told him I did an impression. He asked to hear it, "You're not doing Sammy, you're doing Billy Crystal doing Sammy."
