@thedonz5 I was wondering if I could make an odd request. I know you have a lot of work so if not that’s totally cool and understandable. Dave’s mentions of Nine Inch Nails and Trent Reznor the week after Woodstock 94. I think it’s two or three mentions.
Someone else requested this last year. I checked then: Despite NIN’s claims, Dave made no such references. Just a week-long running joke with a mud-soaked Tony Randall.

I’m sure I remembering seeing it. Dave telling Paul he was “frightened in his own home” watching it and mentioning Trent “the one inch nail” knocking over the guitarist and them both falling over.

I remember him making at least one mention of the performance during a show, though maybe Letterman made the mention in a magazine interview. Calvert DeForest intro’ed the band at Woodstock—that recording is available. I am not aware of any “claims” by NIN about Letterman.
