Finished the 1st of 16 radio broadcast tapes from 1965-68. The short tale: Back in June ‘66 I dubbed my mono tapes to a 1/4-track stereo r2r, 4 tapes dubbed to 1 track each. All at 3 3/4 ips. Current r2r plays back at 7 1/2 & 15 ips. (1)
Celemony’s “Capstan” is the only software I’ve found that purports to fix audio wow. It’s only $4,460.

I spent a lot of time cleaning up tapes for a CD my friend Tad Lathrop and I released in 2006. But wow is a whole other challenge.
