Finished the 1st of 16 radio broadcast tapes from 1965-68. The short tale: Back in June ‘66 I dubbed my mono tapes to a 1/4-track stereo r2r, 4 tapes dubbed to 1 track each. All at 3 3/4 ips. Current r2r plays back at 7 1/2 & 15 ips. (1)

Once in Peak, I can slow it down by half, this back to its original speed of 3 3/4 ips. Then input into Final Cut Pro, where I can mute 1 track and move the active track to the middle. Then save that file (all .aif at this point). (3)

Finally, convert the .aif file to .mp3. Here's a sample of what the finished audio sounds like. From January 18, 1966. WBZ's Bruce Bradley calling Brian Epstein.pic.twitter.com/WGNTGUM8Yx
