I’m still trying to understand: Aren’t the musical performance clips a bigger risk for you? Are some rights holders fine with them because they get to monetize what you’ve posted?

Copyright owners have these choices: do nothing; monetize their content; block their content; take down their content. The Prince performances were the only instance (for me) where the videos were taken down. (1)

Every other takedown from the past has been due to the video content, not musical. That’s what made the Prince circumstance the first for me. Publisher was UMG. When my uploads are rebooted, I’m going to disable all UMG-published songs. (2)
