Things have taken an ugly turn. Internet went out, disconnected cables, turned off Mac Pro 2007. Turned computer back on: power, no chime, no boot, monitor black. Any tips, @jsnell?

Sounds like the power supply. Maybe also an opportunity to crowdfund a new Mac. I'm sure there are a lot of people who would not hesitate to donate to the cause and I number myself among them.
That’s very kind, but I’m uncomfortable with this. Let’s save it for something really important, should that ever pass.
