@thedonz5 I vaguely remember Paul Shaffer yelling out "Ray Charles!" at random times, imitating some musical guest who had done the same thing during a song. Does that ring a bell? Someone did that on LNwDL; Paul found it amusing and started imitating it. I may be wrong.
May 6 and 7, 1986: Tony Bennett ended his performance of "Everybody Has the Blues" by shouting back to Paul, "Ray Charles!" The next night, Paul did his Tony Bennett impression.
