Dave was always the reason millions watched, but the music ranged from the sublime to the ridiculous and the house band was world class. The movie stars were mostly fulfilling obligations.
Anton recently asked me if I had, or would, put up a collection of all of the LN and LS music performances. There were around 4,300 separate performances. I told him he couldn't pay me enough. :)
