one thing I've seen people do is flip the video horizontally to try to avoid the auto-scanners. No idea how effective it is but a lot of old Conan on NBC videos seem to exist online like that.
Yeah; not keen on that. I altered the wrestling-related footage in the Andy Kaufman collection. Got by the blocks but they look awful. (And it's now blocked anyway due to his "Rose Marie" performance. Currently on appeal.)
