In retrospect, I've wondered about the impact of Rivers leaving the TS then giving rise to Leno, if he would have even been considered to guest-host in the first place.

Yeah, I suspect had she not left Leno wouldn't have been in the picture at all. He might have gone to Fox?

I'd never considered that, but I _think_, based on his various specials and appearances, that he had been contracted to NBC. But who knows.
