    Teaching nudge: At the beginning and end of each lecture I ask students "What questions do you have?" rather than "Do you have any questions?" The former elicits significantly more questions than the latter.

    an oft-forgotten use case for git is to use for lightweight local backups of files. so much attention focused on github and collaborative work use cases. but a lot of ppl can benefit from using git locally. i have tons of directories with tiny .git/ repos to keep track of stuff
