No, it shows you have an ancestor. Which is what she said her family always knew.

No she claimed she had a Cherokee ancestor. The specificity is important because DNA tests cannot demonstrate that. Cherokee genealogists have already debunked her claim. This positive result could be from an ancestor from literally anywhere in North or South America.

What damn difference does it make if her answer was Cherokee or something like Seminole? Really, you're making a big deal out of that?

I also have a Native American in my ancestry that I'm about 80% sure is Seminole, so I've told people before that I have Seminole in my background. But I'm not 100% sure of that. I *am* 100% sure I have Native American in my ancestry though.

By that measure, a huge number of us are Native American. Heck, I can beat that. My maternal grandmother was 1/2 Cherokee.

Yes, many people have Native American ancestors. Warren always said her family had a Native American ancestor. tRump accused her of lying . Now we see proof. An ancestor IS someone from generations past.

She said her dad’s racist white family did not approve of him marrying her mom, a Cherokee. They had to run away in order to ‘elope’. Biology states 1/512th of anything is nothing. Her being 1/1024th would make her mom 1/512th. Who knows, her dad may be the 1/512th Native.

Let’s see, that makes her, what, at best 1/128th “native American”? That should CERTAINLY be good enough to qualify for minority status to meet diversity quotas

I'm more Native American than she is. I'm only 4 generations removed. Yet I never walk around claiming I'm a Native American. If she was a Republican she'd be thoroughly trounced for cultural appropriation. Hoop earrings got nothing on this!
